Sandra K. Pinkard

Sandra K. Pinkard, 72, of Collinsville, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at her home.  She was born in Martinsville on May 19, 1948 to the late Emmitt Edgar Hudson and the late Annie Ruth Lewis Hudson.  She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Dent Pinkard, Sr. and a infant brother, James Dwight Hudson.
Sandra was a member of Faith Community Church.  She was a member of the Welcome Wagon in Stephens City, Virginia, a volunteer at Winchester Memorial Hospital, and worked for a time with FEMA assisting disaster victims.  She enjoyed traveling and playing bridge with her friends, all while finding time to keep things straight at home.
Sandra is survived by her son, Charles Dent “Denny” Pinkard, Jr.; sister, Bambi Hudson and friend, Roy Fowler; nephew, Rocky Goodnow (Michelle); step-niece, Tina Roberts Flannigan (Clyde); great-niece, Sophia Goodnow and a great-nephew, Jacob Goodnow
Friends may stop by the funeral home Friday, February 19, 2021 from 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM to view and sign the register without the family present. The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Chapel with Pastor Timothy Hylton and  Pastor Denver Turner officiating.  Burial will follow in the Blackberry Baptist Church cemetery
