Nancy Ann Parnell

Nancy Ann Parnell, 66, of Bassett, passed away on May 14, 2021 at Sovah Martinsville. She was born on December 8, 1954 in Virginia to the late Curtis Lee Mays and to the late Molean Overby Mays. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Betty Mays. Nancy was a member of People’s Church of the Living God.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Tony Parnell (Shannon), Giles Parnell (Casey) and daughter, Jessica Shelton (Thomas); thirteen grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Bishop Dwayne Pruitt officiating.  Burial will follow the funeral at Blackberry Baptist Church Cemetery.
