Johnathan Kent Thompson
Johnathan Kent Thompson, Sr., 56, of Evington, died Sunday, May 16, 2021, at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born in Charleston, West Virginia, on October 13, 1964, he was a son of the late Ella Me Addison and Arthur Hayes Thompson, Sr. He was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church, the NRA, and a former member of the Princeton West Virginia Lions Club. Kent was a service advisor for Billy Craft Hyundai.
Kent is survived by his wife of 33 years, Shelle Thomas Thompson; a son, Johnathan Thompson, Jr. of Evington; a sister, Karen Thomas and husband, Mike of Dallas, Texas; his mother-in-law, Alice Thomas of Appomattox; numerous nieces and nephews, including Dave and Mike Thompson; and a lifelong friend, Andy Haldren.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Mike Thompson and Arthur Thompson, Jr. and two sisters, Carol Dowler and Dolly Hodge.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to Liberty Christian Academy Athletics Department, 3701 Candlers Mountain Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
