JOEY ALEXANDER (“GRUBBY”) NEWBERRY, 56, of Bland, VA, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021 at his home. He was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on April 21st, 1965, the son of the late John Price Sr. & Francis Cook Newberry.
He was a graduate of Bland High School, class of 83. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, who raised him, Nancy Eleanor King Newberry.
His surviving siblings are Pat Muncy of Bland, John Newberry of Wytheville, Dianne Kanode of Princeton, WV and Daniel Newberry of Wytheville.
Joey will be cremated and a memorial is planned for a later date.
