Wanda Diane Dix Martin

Wanda Diane Dix Martin, 62, of Sunset Ridge Drive, Concord, died Thursday, September 2, 2021, at her residence. She was the wife of Benjamin Isaac “Bennie” Martin.

Born in Lynchburg, Va., on November 29, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Ramona Rivers Tyree Dix and Raymond Allen Dix. She was a member of Mt. Comfort United Methodist Church and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Danville.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two aunts, Faye Tice and Joan Tice of Lynchburg; two nieces, Megan Leigh Saunders and Lauren Blair Gauldin of Dry Fork; and three brothers-in-law, Brian M. Gauldin of Dry Fork, Mike and Debbie Martin of Lynchburg, and Doyle and Judy Martin of Appomattox.

She was predeceased by a brother, Tony Allen Dix and a sister, April Dawn Dix Gauldin.

A funeral service will be held at 3 pm, Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Mt. Comfort United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. John Flood, with mask required in the church. Burial will follow in the J. W. C. Martin Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
