Betty Amos Kendrick
Betty Amos Kendrick, 77, of Martinsville passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Stanleytown Health and Rehab in Bassett. She was born in Henry County on December 13, 1943 to the late William Taylor Amos Sr., who passed away in 1944, and the late Amanda Crabtree Amos. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, William “Rock” Amos, Jr. and George Amos
Betty joined the Tabernacle Baptist Church in 1960. She was the “Cookie Lady” for kids and s member of the Ladies Fellowship.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, Custer Levi Kendrick; brothers-in-law, Buren Kendrick and Bradford Kendrick; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Bassett, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM with Dr. Christopher Atkins officiating. Burial will follow at Custer Family Cemetery in Patrick Springs.
