Nelson Junior Adkins

Nelson Junior Adkins, 93 of Blue Ridge, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on Friday, June 15, 1928 in Bedford, a son of the late Charlie Adkins and Ethel Folden Adkins. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred C. Adkins He was a machinist at Ingersoll Rand and a member of Thaxton Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the US Marine Corp having service in the Korean War.

He is survived by special friends, Joe and Phyllis Leonard of Bedford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Blue Ridge Volunteer Fire & Rescue, 1354 Blue Ridge Springs Rd, Blue Ridge, VA 24064.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 11:00 am at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens 7271 Cloverdale Rd, Roanoke with Rev. Joel Wagner officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
