Phillip Monroe Ramsey
PHILLIP MONROE RAMSEY, 80, of the Pinch Creek Community of Bland County, died on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Phillip was born in Bland on June 17, 1941 to Vance & Ina Wright Ramsey. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Janice Edwards Ramsey, his sister, Barbara Ramsey Williams, and his step-son, Douglas Clinton Linkous.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 10 years, Mary Conley Ramsey; his sons & daughter-in-law, Phillip Lee Ramsey, of Bland, Steve & Karen Harris, of Cuba, MO and special step-son, Rick & Teresa Linkous, of Bland; his daughters & sons-in-law, Linda H. & Robert Mobray, and Anita H. & David Becker, of Salem, MO; his step-children, Tanya & Patrick Holdren, Regina Ramsey, William Ramsey, and Jason & Sonya Ramsey; his beloved sister, Pamela Stowers, of Bland; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren & many special nieces and nephews.
Phillip was a Veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam Conflict. He attended Shady Grove United Methodist Church and the Hollybrook Church of Christ. During his lifetime, Phillip was a heavy equipment operator, gas station owner, and a part-time farmer. He spent many weekends at the local VFW, enjoying live music and dancing.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. with Rev. Ted Anders and Minister Jim Conley officiating. Burial will follow in the Ramsey Family Cemetery with military rites provided by the Bland American Legion Post #20 and the Bland VFW Post# 7969. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until service time, 12:00 P.M.
