Jimmy Lee Greer

Jimmie Lee Greer, 80, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Stanleytown Healthcare Center. He was born July 4, 1941, in Henry County to the late Hyram Joseph Greer and Virgie Carter Greer.

Jimmie enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, and farming; and he loved animals. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret Ann Greer, and Alice Greer; and brothers, Henry Greer, Roy Carl Greer, Albert Greer, and J.B. Greer.

He is survived by his daughters, Bridget Chavez, Ginny Fulford, and Regina Trickey; sons, Hyram Jason Greer and Jimmie Lee Greer II; sister, Virginia Bookout; brother, Allen Greer; grandchildren, Gary Stripling, Ryan Stripling, Dillon Lyons, Diamond Baylis, Emerald Mae, Clyde Adams, James Trickey II, Celestia Greer and Terra Greer; and great-grandchildren, Jesse Stripling, Colton Stripling, Kimber Stripling, Dean Stripling, Haisley Stripling, and Reagan Lyons.
