Margaret Cobler Gardner

Margaret Cobler Gardner, 90, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, at her home. She was born May 4, 1931, in Henry County, Virginia to the late Benjamin Franklin Cobler and Minnie Kathleen Merriman Cobler. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church and enjoyed crafts, crocheting and music. She also enjoyed keeping foster children in her home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Claude Oscar Gardner; and brother, John Marshall.
She is survived by her daughter Phyllis Taylor; son, Jessie Gardner, Sr.; sister, Betty Tester (Arnold); grandchildren, Jennifer Taylor Cooke and Justin Taylor; special niece, Tina (Rick), great special nieces, Sara Boyd and Brooke Wade (Jeff); special nephews Duke Dyckman (Carol) and David Dyckman (Courtney) and several special great-great nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel at 2:00 P. M. with Pastors Billy Hicks and Craig Hicks officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be private.
