Joy Landreth

Joy Mae Neal Landreth, 86, of Danville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at her home. She was born February 3, 1936, in Eden, North Carolina to the late Howard Neal and Hattie Mae Frazier Neal. She had worked for Dan River Mills for over 33 years and attended Brosville Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, walking, the outdoors, children and her dogs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Elton Landreth; daughter, Wanda Lynn Hankins Wilson; sisters, Mildred Neal Saunders, Doris Moore and Opal Neal; brother Tootsie Neal; and grandchild, Michael Kenneth Wilson.

She is survived by her son, James M. Hankins, Jr.; and grandchildren, Eric Hankins (Kortney) and James Hankins, III; and several great-grandchilidren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
