Robert Earl Dillard

Robert Earl Dillard, 64, of Martinsville, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born February 15, 1958 in Axton, Virginia, to the late James Harden Dillard and Annie Eliza Clark Dillard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Dillard; brothers, James L. Dillard, Sylvester Dillard and Delano Aikens. He attended Laurel Park High School, and had been employed as a spray operator for American Furniture for five years. He loved his family and friends. Robert is survived by his wife, Nancy Hairston Dillard; sons, Robert L. Dillard of Martinsville, and Cory D. Dillard (Tamika) of Greensboro, NC; brothers, Alvis Dillard of Eden, NC and Gimmie Scales of Martinsville; sisters, Elizabeth Hampton and Regina Dillard of Axton, VA, Olivia Mitchell of Pineville, SC, Fannie Little and Ann Adams of Eden, NC, and Jeanetta Rowland of Patterson, NJ; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The funeral will be Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with visitation 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be private.
