Howard Wayne Keith

Howard Wayne Keith, 66, of Troutville, passed away peacefully in his sleep early Wednesday morning, August 24, 2022. He was the only son of Howard and Marie Keith. Wayne was a devoted husband to Ruby, and father to daughter, Crista and son, David; and two sisters, Susie Sawtelle and Brenda Cummings; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Wayne had retired from Carmeuse James River after 41 years of service where he worked as a well-known dozer and excavator operator just like his Dad. He was a jack-of-all trades and could fix almost anything. He loved hunting and fishing. Riding down a back country roads and drinking a cold one with friends. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, August 28, 2022, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan with Chaplain Troy Mays officiating. Private inurnment will follow in Mill Creek Cemetery, Fincastle. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home.
