Virgil Linclous "Link" Thomas

Virgil Linclous “Link” Thomas, 81, formerly of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Monday, October 3, 2022, in Blacksburg, Virginia. He was born January 27, 1941, in Big Sandy, West Virginia, to the late Roy L. Thomas and Maudie Wimmer Thomas. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ridgeway. He was a large promoter of southern gospel music singings in this area. He liked the Baltimore Orioles and attended a game in May. He also enjoyed golf, bluegrass festivals, fishing and hunting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Mannon Thomas; brother, George Thomas; and sister, June Brewer. Link is survived by his wife, Jane Campbell Thomas; daughter, Lisa Ann Thomas; sons, Steven Thomas (Donna), Michael Thomas, Shawn Lee Thomas (Sommer) and Jeff Thomas; stepsons, Timothy, Craig and Sean Shaver; 37 foster children; brother, Harvey Thomas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
