James Richard ‘Rick” Rogers

James “Rick” Richard Rogers, 70, of Cascade, Virginia passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at his residence. He was born June 7, 1952, in Danville, Virginia to the late James Barksdale Rogers and Harriett Ann Hawker Rogers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Rogers. He was a member of Hope Church in Danville, where he taught Sunday School. He was superintendent and deacon at his former church. He had been employed by ENT-Whistle Company for over forty years. He enjoyed talking about the Bible and reading the Bible to people. He also enjoyed watching westerns and wildlife. Rick is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Neighbors Rogers; and fur baby, Hope. The memorial service will be Sunday, October 16, 2022, at 3:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Brian Edwards officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
