Barbara Martin

Barbara Delois "Lois" Flood Martin went from labor to reward on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Sovah Health - Martinsville. She was born in Henry County, VA on August 13, 1947 a daughter of the late Roosevelt and Hope Morrison Flood. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Martin.

She was disabled from SaraLee after 20 years of service and was a member of Morning Star Holy Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Edward O. (Shanna) Martin, of Marietta, GA; and Corey D. Martin, of Richmond, VA;two sisters, Shirley Flood Hairston and Linda Flood Philpott, both of Martinsville, VA; one special daughter, Aniya S. Penn, of Norfolk, VA; 4 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 1, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Morning Star Holy Church with Rev. Tyler Millner, officiating. Burial will follow in the Morrison Family Cemetery in Martinsville, VA. The family will receive friends at the church one half hour prior to the funeral and will be at the home at 2525 Stoney Mountain Road at other times.

A public viewing will be held Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Hines Funeral Services.
