Willie Lee Ramsey, Sr.

Willie Lee Ramsey, Sr., 87 of Fieldale, Virginia passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born January 28, 1935, in Henry County, to the late Elijah Gardener Ramsey an Lucy Jamison Ramsey. He was a self-employed contractor. He enjoyed dancing, socializing, traveling, especially to the beach and NASCAR. Willie also enjoyed visiting different churches.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Ann Joyce Ramsey; sisters, Lucille Ramsey Boaz, Doris Ramsey Spicer and an infant sister; brother, Elijah Gardner Ramsey, II.

He is survived by his daughters, Victoria Nichols (Christopher), Lucy Carol Byrd (Richard) and Jennifer Lynn Fulcher (Keith); one son, Willie Lee Ramsey, Jr. (Karen), and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN, 38105 or Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
