Ronnie Buford Crews

Ronnie Buford Crews, 83, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 at SOVAH Health of Danville. He was born October 23, 1939 in Bassett, Virginia, to the late John Burl Crews and Bethie Turner Crews. He retired from Hooker Furniture after 42 years of service and was a member of First Baptist Church of Ridgeway. He enjoyed working word and number puzzles, football, baseball and basketball and singing in the Church Choir. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Dunn Crews; sisters, Virginia Shields (Baxter), Jessie Wilson (Morris) and Barbara Stone (Hampton); brothers, Ernest Dewey Crews, Clinton Eugene Crews (Viola), William Donnie Crews, Therman Crews and Elmer Crews. He is survived by his nieces, Pam Koger (Marvin) and Brenda Edwards (Jim) and nephew, Jeffrey Crews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 1:00 P. M. at Roselawn Burial Park with Pastor Lewis Harris officiating. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Ridgeway, 15 Church Street, Ridgeway, Virginia, 24148.
