Sylvia Marie Tolliver

Sylvia was a great cook who insisted that you fill your plate at least twice and still fussed that you didn’t eat anything. She took joy in preserving food from her huge garden. Sylvia especially loved babies and would be completely content rocking and cuddling them. Many sought her wise counsel, knowing she would always tell them the truth in love.

Sylvia will be remembered at a graveside service on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 11 a.m., at Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem; the Reverend Susan E. Bentley will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to their long-time church home, Mountain Pass Baptist Church, 2975 Catawba Valley Dr, Salem, VA 24153.
