Calvin Clay Preston

Calvin Clay Preston, 58, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Friday, March 24, 2023. He was born March 28, 1964, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Sterling Preston and Cassie Millner Preston. Calvin was a member of Saint James Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a dedicated employee of Bassett Walker for twenty plus years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Savannah Preston; brothers, Fredrick Preston, Jamie Lee Dodson, Tyrone King and grandchildren, Jeremiah Christian Preston and Daviana Turner. He is survived by his wife, Taundra Wright Preston; daughters, Laterra Smith, Aleisha Preston, Aleyah Preston, Teona Preston, Terri Rone (Reggie), and Tiffany Dillard; sons, Kevin Preston (Manekia), Brandon Hairston and Darrell Wilson; and one brother, Sterling Preston. The funeral will be Friday, March 31, 2023, at 1:00 PM at The Pentecostal Assembly Building with Pastor Bobby Agnew officiating. Burial will follow at the Preston Family Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A floating visitation will be Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 2 -5 PM. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
