Keyara Symone Hairston

Keyara Symone Hairston, 26, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023. She was born September 17, 1996, in Greensboro, North Carolina, to Lewis Hairston and Tamisha Dodson. She was preceded in death by her son, Kymani Hairston; and her grandfather, John Lewis Hairston. Keyara was a member of Mountain View Missionary Baptist Church. She was an amazing mother, enjoyed dancing and social media. She was known as the “Singing DIVA”, always the life of the party. Her favorite saying was, “I’m on the way.” In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Abriel Hairston, sister, Genesis Adams; grandparents, Danny and Donna King, and Deborah Hairston; and godmother, Ann Wade. The funeral will be Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Mountain View Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Kaven Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Hairston-Giles Cemetery, Norman Lane, Axton, Virginia 24054. Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
