Paul Leppert

Paul Leppert, 79, of Wirtz, VA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 22, 2023 with his loving wife by his side.Born in Binghamton, NY to Bruce and Reba Leppert, Paul joined the Navy upon graduating from Windsor Central High School. After serving his country during Vietnam, Paul returned to the states and began his career with International Business Machines Corporation. His time with IBM brought him to many locations across the world, first of which was Boston, MA where he met his wife, Barbara. Soon after their marriage Paul accepted a position in North Carolina where they were overjoyed to receive what Paul called his greatest gift, their daughter Jessica. In addition to being an engineer, Paul was an avid fisherman and craftsman. When he wasn’t building, renovating, or designing houses, you would find him at the lake scoping out the perfect spot to cast a line.Paul is survived by his wife of 53 years Barbara Leppert, daughter Jessica MacLeay, son-in-law Michael MacLeay, sister Norine Kimmel, mother-in-law Helen Drouin, sister-in-law Jean Leppert, sister-in-law Carol Preston, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Paul is predeceased by his parents Bruce and Reba Leppert, his brothers North and Keith Leppert, brother-in-law Gary Drouin and his father-in-law Walter Drouin.No services will be held at this time.
