Barbara Gayle Smith

Barbara Gayle Smith, age 72 passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at her residence. Mrs. Smith was born July 19, 1950, in Danville, Virginia to the late Clyde Inman, Sr. and the late Aileen Dishman Inman. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jimmy D. Smith.
She was a lifetime member of the Tunstall Fire and Rescue Ladies Auxiliary and served as president for many years. Gayle loved her family and the community dearly, and she will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Crystal Smith, and Cindy Parker (Donnie), her son, Michael Bray, granddaughter, Makenzie Bray, special great niece, Baylee Burke; brothers, Clyde Inman, Jr. (Kathy), Dennis Inman (Cindy); sister, Nancy Inman Mize (Tom); and other nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends and family at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request that memorial donations in her memory be made to Tunstall Fire and Rescue, 740 Tunstall High Road, Dry Fork, VA. 24549.
