Carlton "Boo" Hoskins

Carlton “Boo” E. Hoskins, 66, of Pelham, NC passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at his brother’s residence. He was born May 17, 1957, in Danville, VA to Elsie M. Hooker Hoskins and the late David H. Hoskins. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his brother, Gary Hoskins.
Mr. Hoskins was a very outgoing gentleman with an infectious laugh. He always stayed busy, “never letting the grass grow under his feet.” He loved his family dearly, especially his daughter, Sierra, whom the sun rose and set with.

In addition to his mother and daughter, he is survived by his sister, Angela Rice (Scott); brothers, Mark Hoskins, Sr. (Vivian), David Hoskins, Jr., and Michael Hoskins (Angela); nieces and nephews, JR Hoskins, Jami Carey (Michael), Shelly Dix (Justin), Amanda Hutchinson (Daniel), Courtney Hoskins, Elizabeth Hoskins, Gary Hoskins, Jr., Benjamin Hoskins, Mikey Hoskins, Brianna Dameron, and David Dameron; step-mother, Dixie Hoskins; and many other friends and family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 27, 2023, at State Line Baptist Church, 651 Holland Rd., Danville, VA 24541. The family will receive friends at other times at the residence of his brother, Mark Hoskins.

The family would like to extend thanks to his many doctors and nurses for their time and attention during his illness. Also special thanks to UNC Rockingham Cancer Center, Caswell Family Medical Center, Rockingham Palliative Care, Hospice of Rockingham County and to Vivian for her care of Boo and to Thomas and Brenda Hoskins for checking in and sitting with Boo when needed.
