Douglas Delaine Hundley

Douglas Delaine Hundley, 88, of Fieldale, VA passed away Monday, June 12, 2023 at his home. He was born January 30, 1935 to the late Robert Thomas Hundley and Jessie Clark Hundley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Crystal Clark and Sue Perdue; and brothers, Benford Hundley and Melvin Hundley.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Frances Cox Hundley; daughter, Kay Hundley McCrickard (Barry); grandson, Kevin McCrickard; several nieces and nephews; and special boys, Wes Brown, Bryson Brown, and Cody Mills.

Doug was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church where he served on the board and many committees. He also served on the Preston Ruritan Club. He retired from Fieldcrest Mills with 41 years of service. He enjoyed watching sports and games with his grandson, Kevin. His family was the joy of his life.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Pleasant Grove Christian Church with Pastor Tim Mills officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery.
