Loretta Martin

Loretta Martin,78, of Roanoke,VA formally of Edgewood, MD, was welcome into the Lord's arms on June 12, 2023. She passed away surrounded by her love ones after a short battle with Glioblastoma (GBM).Born July 17th, 1944, in Duty, VA, she was the daughter of the late James O. Rasnake & Lola Lambert.Loretta leaves behind her siblings, Frank Smith of Aberdeen, Wayne Lambert of Towson, Gary Lambert of Dundalk and Donna Bethke of Churchville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jesse Rasnake and sister, Sandra Harris.She is preceded in death by her husband, William "Billy" Martin, of 36 years. Loretta leaves behind three wonderful children, Kathleen Agee (Kenneth), Kevin Martin (Brenda) and Kellie Tillman (Gordon); six wonderful grandchildren, Jennifer Doss, Amanda Kahl, Jessica Martin, Kristina Martin, Krystal DeHaven, and Nathan Tillman. Loretta was also a beloved GG to 12 beautiful Great-grandchildren. Loretta was a beloved aunt, great aunt and cousin to many. Loretta was cherished by all that knew her.Loretta spent 30 years managing housing developments (Edgewood Heights, Beacon Terrace, Harford Commons) in Edgewood, MD. She retired in the early 2000's and relocated to Roanoke, VA with her partner of 21 years, Peter Fay. She was a devoted member of the American Legion post 17 Edgewood, MD and enjoyed going to Amvets in Roanoke, VA. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., July 15, 2023 at Harford Memorial Gardens, 3839 Aldino, Rd., Aberdeen, Md. 21001
