Doris White

Doris Marie Chisom White, 84, of Goodview, passed away peacefully at her home on July 8, 2023 after a long illness. Mrs. White was a lifelong resident of Bedford County and a member of Lake Drive Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting, working jigsaw puzzles, and playing Polyanna.Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald White; father Ernest Mitchell Chisom; mother, Delores Mae Chisom; sister, Phyliss (Bobby) Morrison; and three brothers, Douglas (Shelby) Chisom, Robert “Bobby” Chisom and Sherman (Jewel) Chisom.She is survived by her two sons, Terry (Alice) White and Michael White; sister Sylvia Nimmo; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many friends.The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lotz Vinton Chapel. Mrs. Whites service, to celebrate her life will be on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. Noon. Her grandson, Layne White will officiate the service. Burial will be at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens.
