Barry Marshall McPeak

BARRY MARSHALL MCPEAK, SR., age 81, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, July 7th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. 

 

He attended Legacy Church in Wytheville, VA and was a kind, dedicated, hard working husband and father. He made life-long friends while working at Klopman Mills in Dublin, VA and ABB in Bland, VA. 

 

He loved his family, baseball, bluegrass music and talking about classic cars. Barry grew up in a loving, close knit community of family-oriented and caring neighbors, friends, school classmates, teachers and fellow church members. 

 

His memory is cherished by his loving wife of sixty one and a half years, Gayle Pruitt McPeak, his devoted children, Dreama Gayle McPeak and Barry Marshall McPeak, Jr., his treasured brothers Wayne McPeak of White Gate, VA and Nathan (Thelma) McPeak of Columbia NC, along with very special nieces, a nephew and cousins. 

 

He was preceded in death by his precious parents, Arnold and Lelia Pearl McPeak, of Bland VA, and many beloved aunts and uncles. 

 

Per his request, a private graveside service was held at the Mechanicsburg cemetery.
