Ethel Lee Gusler (Gussie) Burton gained her angel wings on Wednesday, AuGust 23, 2023, at her home in Bluefield, WV.  She was born March 24, 1938 in Bland, VA.

     Welcoming Lee to her heavenly home were her husband, Buford Allen Burton; parents, D. C. and Beatrice Myers Gusler; her brothers, Paul, Dale, and Jimmy Gusler; and sister, Dorothy Gusler Hood.  

     Survivors include sister, Louise Burton, Wanda Townley and Carol Sue Morris; brothers, Dennis Gusler (Bonnie), Ronald Gusler (Loma); two sisters-in-law, Annette Burton and Lovada Gusler. Lee was a mother to Cristy Kinser (Jeff) and Mayrissa Fender (Michael). Mayrissa served as her special caregiver.  Several special nieces and nephews also survive.  

     She was a member of Bible Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher for several years and enjoyed helping with whatever needed to be done in the Church.  She worked in Banking for 44 years and retired in 2000.  She loved to take pictures and work in her flower gardens.  She was a graduate of Bland High School, Bluefield Business College, and American Institute of Banking.

     A funeral service will be held on Saturday August 26, 2023 at Mercer Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Stephen Umberger officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.  

     The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.  

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bible Baptist Church or to Alive Animal Service.
