Edward Arnold Phelps of Appomattox, Virginia

Edward Arnold Phelps, 75, of Appomattox, died Wednesday, August 30, 2023.

Born in Appomattox County, Va., on May 2, 1948, he was a son of the late Emily Blanche Moore and Enid Millard Phelps.  Arnold was a member of Trinity Methodist Church.  

He is survived by two children, Dane Phelps and wife, Tiffany of Concord and Holly Phelps and husband, Joshua Boyce of Amherst and their mother, Susan Phelps; one brother, Howard Phelps and wife, Betty; five sisters, Emily Mitchell, Patricia Evans, Linda Rogers and husband, Danny, Bonnie Deters and husband, Doug and Connie Fortin; sister-in-law, Eva Phelps; two grandchildren, Farrah Phelps and Pierce Phelps; girlfriend, Tara Morgan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Phelps and wife, Beverly and Gerald Phelps; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Mitchell, Herman Evans and Dick Fortin.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, September 3, 2023, in Mt. Comfort Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Boyce officiating.  

The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m., Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Robinson Funeral Home.
