Maggie Ruth Spears Secrest

Maggie Ruth Spears Secrest, 86, of Martinsville, VA passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Mulberry Creek Assisted Living. She was born on April 28, 1937, in Virginia to the late Robert Francis Spears and Evia Ethel Caroline Hathcock. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James David Secrest; daughter, Sherry Keatts; sons, James David Secrest, II, and Barry Lee Secrest; sister, Laura Shepard; brothers, Earl Spears; and her grandson, Zachary Rowe.

She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Rowe (Bobby Rowe, Jr.) of Martinsville, VA; grandchildren, Eric Hunter Rowe (Jennifer), Jacob Ray Rowe, Jessica Keatts, and Amber Broman (Nathan); and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Roselawn Burial Park with Pastor Lee Ashely officiating.
