Frances Gravely Hall

Frances Gravely Hall, 84, of Collinsville, VA, formerly of Penhook, VA passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023 at her home. She was born August 9, 1939 in Martinsville, VA to the late Fred Sanders Gravely and Lula Ingram Gravely. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Hall Requena; son, Ronald Wayne Hall; grandsons, Michael Leon Hall, Jr. and Dennis Dwayne Hall; and her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Hall Brown and Donna Hall Frazier (Steven); son, Michael Leon Hall, Sr. (Kathy); and brother, Larry Wayne Gravely (Patricia). Also surviving are nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Special thank you to her grandchildren/caregivers, Katherine Hall Oates and Jacquelyn Oates.

Mrs. Hall retired in 2001 as a supervisor for Fieldcrest Mills where she worked for over 30 years. She was also known for baking the most delicious cakes and her outstanding cooking. She loved playing cards and was an avid Rook player and tournament winner. She will forever be remembered as a lake loving, boat driving, sassy Nana.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville, VA. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will be at Henry Memorial Park.
