Fred Charles Fordham of Appomattox, Virginia

Fred Charles Fordham, 74, of Appomattox passed away Friday, October 13, 2023, at his residence. He was the husband of Marie Donoghue Fordham.

Born in Teaneck, NJ on January 27, 1949, he was the son of the late Maxine Miller and William Henry Fordham. Fred enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and playing with his grandchildren. He liked to eat out and tease the waitresses at Granny Bee’s in Appomattox. He attended Liberty Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Kelly Cole and husband, Ben of Appomattox; three “plus 1” grandchildren, Nathan, Lauren, and Griffin Cole, and Laya Chidester; one sister, Judy Winchell of Marietta, GA; niece, Alexa Cutter and husband, Ernie of Charlotte, NC; and nephew, Justin Winchell of Atlanta, GA.

He was preceded in death by his brother, William “Billy” Fordham.

A funeral service will be held 12 pm, Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Rusty Small officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
