Laura Alarcon Cardenas

Laura Alarcon Cardenas, 51, of Morelos, Mexico, sadly passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. She resided in Ridgeway, Virginia. She was born on February 19, 1972 to Catalina Cardenas Lara and the late Epifanio Alarcon Gonzalez.Laura was a high school graduate. In high school, she enjoyed playing volleyball. After graduating she later became a secretary for a majority of her 20’s before migrating to the United States. She was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and a part of the church choir. Laura was employed by Drake Extrusion, and was known to be highly dedicated to any job. When she was not working, she lived in the kitchen. She had a passion for cooking, fashion, and bachata music.Laura, the most loving and kind wife, mother, and grandmother, is survived by her ex-husband, Jesus Diaz; daughters, Zaira Alarcon (Brad) and Ingrid Diaz; sons, Carlos Alarcon (Jolie) and Jesus Diaz, Jr.; and grandchildren, David Alarcon and Ella Webster.Visitation will be Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 538 Central Boulevard, Danville, VA 24541.
