Norma Jeane Brown Kenney

Norma Jeane West Brown Kenney, 88, of Salem, VA passed away on November 16, 2023. She was born on July 19, 1935, to the late Harold and Maryann Claudine Edwards. She was preceded in death by her two sons, William Melvin Brown Jr., and Leonard Andrew Kenney: two brothers, James West, and John W. Coles Jr., better known as, “Billy West”.
She leaves three daughters, Vera, Rose Brown, and Beverly Kenney-Divers (Tim) to cherish her memory. Affectionately called "GG" or simply G by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She will truly be missed by all.
A visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem.
The interment will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem.
The family would like to thank Lewis Gale Medical Center 3rd floor Cardiac unit for making her transition as painless and as peaceful as they had hoped for.
