Catherine Windsor

Catherine Marie Vess Windsor, age 87 of 1710 Main Street, Apt 120, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke.
Catherine was born on February 17, 1936 in Bath County, Virginia to the late Emory Nickol Vess and Louise Roscoe Marshall Vess. She was a factory line worker for the former Jane Colby apparel company and a member of Millboro Christian Church. She loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Roger Windsor, as well sisters, Alice Nichols and Betty McGlothlin and brothers, Garnett Vess and Eugene Vess.
She is survived by two daughters, Vickie Puffenbarger and husband Richard of Bath County and Donna Hornsberger and husband Clinton of Newport News; a son, Roger Windsor of Lexington; a sister, Melba Forbes of Millboro; six grandchildren, Melissa, Ricky, Brian, Roman, Timmy, and Andrew (Jamie); thirteen great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Lloyd Via officiating. Interment will follow in Millboro Christian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roman, Timmy, Andrew, Ricky, Brian, and Michael. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home.
