Sharon Kay Sargent

Sharon Kay Sargent (formerly Bethencourt), 80, of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 15, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Genevieve Sargent.

She is survived by her friends, Cathy and David Wright, Godchildren – Shannon and Patrick Wright, Mady Eitani, Lynn and Katrina Milton, and a very close neighborhood of friends.

Sharon was a longtime nurse, making rank of Captain in the United States Air Force, and working at numerous places in the Roanoke Valley including Hospice, Home Health, Nursing Homes, and more. She alsowas an avid animal lover, rescuing many dogs and started a SPCA in Georgia.

Sharon personally chose cremation with no services. Remember her and smile.
