Mary Lucy Litchford

Mary Lucy Ayers Litchford, 84, of Appomattox, died Saturday, December 30, 2023, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Lloyd Christian Litchford.
Born in Appomattox, February 18, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Alma Pearl McFadden Ayers and John Crute Ayers, Sr. Lucy was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two children, L.C. Litchford, Jr., and wife, Uwana and Teresa Litchford Ensley; one brother, Robert Ayers and wife, Melva all of Appomattox; five grandchildren, Donta McCoy, Amber Litchford, Dana Ensley, Logan Ensley, and Kevin Ensley; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Ensley, Brittany Ensley, Kaylee Ensley and DaKota McCoy; three great-great-grandchildren, Jayden, Asher and Alaia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Faye A. Crowe and husband, Fred and Hester A. Shull and husband, Tom; and one brother, John C. Ayers, Jr.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home with Pastor Johnathan Watson, Pastor Darryl Martin and Pastor Robert E. Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at her residence.
