Joan Juanita Handran, 83, of Glade Hill in Franklin County, passed away Saturday December 30, 2023.
Joan was a teacher’s assistant at Franklin County Schools for many years, was an avid gardener, and lover of all animals.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard W. Handran, her parents, Robert Dexter Campbell and Juanita Mae Campbell, as well as her sister, Sandra ElKhodary.
Joan has spent the last nine years living with a dear friend, Karen Burks, and her husband Gary Burks in Bedford VA. Joan was a gentle and loving soul who will be greatly missed.
Private burial will be held.
