Linda Hartsell Moore

Linda Hartsell Moore, age 71 passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024. She was born in Troy, North Carolina on August 10, 1952 to the late Lillian Mabe Hartsell and the late Patrick O’Brien Hartsell. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Wayne Moore.

Linda was of the Christian faith and she attended Central Blvd. Church of God and Dan River Church. She was employed at Durham Hosiery Mills as secretary prior to her retirement.

Mrs. Moore was a loving mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and shopping with her sister. She is survived by her daughters; Lisa Pyrtle (Dee) of Danville, VA., Brooke Moore (Tim Wilkerson) of Dry Fork, VA., son; Thomas Wayne Moore II (Hilary) of Providence, NC., sisters; Susan Reynolds of Danville, VA., Betty Kellar (Doug) of Evans, GA, grandchildren; Evan Brooks, Cara Brooks, and Ryan Stewart, several nieces and nephews and a special nurse; Nicole Williams.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son-in-law; Michael Brooks and nephew; David Hamilton III.

A funeral service will be held at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 2:00PM with Pastor Butch Robinson officiating.

A visitation will be held at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 6:30 to 8:00PM. At all other times the family will receive friends at the residence of her daughter, Lisa Pyrtle.

Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Dan River Church Honduras Mission Fund at 2805 Riverside Drive Danville, VA 24540.
