America” Virginia” Dare Williamson, 83, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024. She was born May 2, 1940, in Martinsville, to the late Robert Lee Hill, Sr. and Virginia Hattie Hill.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A Williamson, Sr. and a son, Leslie Stephon Williamson.Virginia was a member of and attended St. Paul High Street Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Albert Harris High School. She enjoyed being a caretaker, always putting others first. In her free time, she loved shopping, and listening to music. Her most treasured moments were those spent with her grandchildren, family, and friends.She is survived by her sons, Joseph Allen Williamson, Jr., and Michael Williamson, Sr. (Velma); Sisters, Loretta Becker, and Eva Hill; brother, Robert Lee Hill, Jr.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.The funeral will be Friday, March 8, 2024, at 12:00 PM at St. Paul High Street Baptist Church with Bishop Alan Preston officiating. Burial will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service.
