Jerry Cook

Jerry Layne Cook, 50, of Appomattox, died Saturday, May 4, 2024, at his residence.
Born in Lynchburg, December 17, 1973, he was a son of Dianne Smith Cook and William Thomas “Tommy” Cook.
In addition to his parents he is survived by two brothers, William Dwayne Cook and Terry Wayne Cook; grandmother, Margaret Steele; three aunts, Doris Pennington and husband, Roy, Sharon Caldwell and husband, Kent and Mary Ann Cronk; one uncle, John Smith and Sharon Grace; and seven cousins, Mark, Rhonda, Laura, Brian, Brittany, Hayden and Greyson.
He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Diana Elmore Cook; and his uncle, Larry Lee Cook.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Friendship Baptist Church with Dr. H. Rondel Rumberg officiating.
