Rebecca Lane

Mrs. Rebecca Gail Lane, age 75, of Covington, died Monday, June 24, 2024, at her residence.
She was the wife of Floyd A. Lane to whom she was married to for fifty eight and half years.
Mrs. Lane was born October 24, 1948 in Richmond, VA, the daughter of the late Cyrus R. Jenkins and Sarah Curtis Jenkins. She had lived in Hinton, WV before relocating to this community in 1968. Rebecca was employed as an office manager by the Alleghany County Department of Social Services. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her husband, Floyd, Mrs. Lane is survived by a son, Jonathan Allen Lane and wife, Patricia of Fork Union; a daughter, Heather Ellen Lane of Millboro; two grandchildren, Katherine and Christy and husband, Cameron; and a great grandson, Grayson Smith.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to charity of one's choice.
