George Edward Dodson

George Edward Dodson, 73, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024. He was born March 13, 1951, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late George Lee Dodson and Amanda Lee Dodson.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Gloria Cabiness, Elizabeth Stockton, and Buena Maxine Dodson.George was an employee of Sara Lee Knit Products and a brick mason. He enjoyed fishing and watching basketball. He loved dogs and his family.He is survived by his sister, Amanda Brenda Cabiness; brothers, Melvin Cornell Dodson, and Larry Darnell Dodson; and a host of nieces and nephews.The graveside service will be held Friday, July 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Carver Memorial Gardens with Bishop Earley Dillard officiating.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
