Clinton Wayne Lucado
Clinton Wayne Lucado, 88, of Appomattox passed away on July 12, 2024, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of the love of his life Betty McFadden Lucado, and they shared 65 years of marriage together
Born on March 23, 1936, in Appomattox, he was the son of the late Venice Hamilton Lucado and Harry Lucado. He served his country as a member of the United States Army and was a lifetime member of Red Oak Baptist Church. Clinton worked as a machinist at Lynchburg Foundry and at Weavexx in Farmville. In his retirement he was a groundskeeper for James River State Park.
He is survived by two sons, Dwayne Lee Lucado and wife, Debra of Westminster, MD, and Robert Harry “Bobby” Lucado and wife, Michelle of Lovingston, VA; and four grandchildren, Evelyn, Isabella, Amelia, and Carson.
A memorial service will be held at 3 pm, Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Red Oak Baptist Church with Pastor Bud Reid officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
