Cathy Ellen Madison

Cathy Ellen Madison, 69, of Roanoke, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on August 6th, 2024. Born in Roanoke on JUly 6, 1955, she was the daughter of Marie Madison (deceased) and a treasured individual, whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew her. Cathy was an alumnus of Lucy Addison High School and a graduate of the American Business College of Roanoke. Cathy's illustrious career culminated as the Vice President of Member Services and Compliance Auditor at Salem VAMC Federal Credit Union, a role through which she touched many lives with her dedication and service. With a personality that was both loving and larger than life, Cathy was a beacon of light in her community. Her big-hearted nature resonated deeply with family, friends, and colleagues alike. As a faithful attendee of God's House, Cathy's spiritual devotion was an integral part of her life, providing strength and solace to her and her family. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Shonte' and LaToya Smith; granddaughter Sydney Monroe; brother, Nathaniel Madison; nephews, Marcus and Michael Madison; aunt, Fannie Madison, and a host of cousins and great nieces and nephews. The family invites those who knew Cathy to join them in a service of remembrance at Blue Ridge Funeral Home in Roanoke, VA, on Saturday August 17th, 2024, at 2PM. Blue Ridge Funeral Home will be assisting the family with arrangements. Her legacy of love and compassion will forever be remembered.
