Beverly Jodon Wood

Beverly Jodon Wood, age 86, of Danville, VA passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Sovah Health, Danville. She was born on July 10, 1938, in Akron, OH to the late Theodore Jodon and the late Irene Stroll Jodon. She was married for 68 wonderful years to Donald Lee Wood, who survives, of the residence.

Mrs. Wood was a member of First Baptist Church, Murrells Inlet, SC and was a homemaker all her working life.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her three children, Cindy Shelton, Paul Wood and Susan Boyce, as well as 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Wood was predeceased by a daughter, Lori Sloane, and nine siblings, in addition to her parents.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Norris Funeral Services, West End Chapel, Danville, VA, at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Ben Shelton.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., also at the West End Chapel of Norris Funeral Services, Danville, VA. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence.
