Sandra Wilkerson Jordan

Sandra W. Jordan passed away on August 20, 2024 in Lynchburg.Sandy was born on July 22, 1949 and was the daughter of James and Marjorie Wilkerson.She worked for 38 years at N.B. Handy Co. where she made many lifelong friends.In addition to a love of art and music, Sandy had a great appreciation of nature which was most evident as she walked through the surf on Ocracoke Island.Sandy is survived by her husband David Jordan; her daughters Windy Harper and Erin Addison; and grandson Harper Addison, all of whom she loved dearly.She is also survived by her brothers Keith Wilkerson (Gwen) and Brad Wilkerson (Nicole) and nephews, Daniel and Joseph Wilkerson in addition to niece, Ann Wilkerson.The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel.In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the Amherst County Humane Society, 318 Shelter Lane, Amherst VA 24521.In loving memory of Mom – live, laugh, love and dance like no one’s watching!
