Lily Rodessa Bryant Semones

Lily Rodessa Bryant Semones was born April 17, 1937, and passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024. Rodessa was a resident of Concord, NC at the time of her passing, previously residing in Martinsville, VA. She was preceded in death by her late husband of 66 years, Edward Ellis Semones also of Martinsville. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Scott Semones and daughters-in-law Donna Moran Semones of Basset, VA and Wanda Semones of Rocky Mount, VA.

Her legacy lives on in her son James Semones (Rhonda), daughter Frances Beam (Ricky), son Randy Semones, and daughter-in-law Kathy Semones; grandchildren Leslie Hodges, Travis Beam, Thomas Semones, Emily Freeze, Oliva Semones, and Adam Semones. Great grandchildren Gavin Hodges, Creed Hodges, Lincoln Semones, Colson Freeze, and Holden Freeze.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Collinsville Church of the Brethren, 553 W John Redd Blvd, Collinsville VA, 24078 with Pastor Roy McVey and Reverand David Shumate officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior from 10:00am to 11:00am. Burial will follow the service at Roselawn Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Mrs. Semones to the Living Faith Church of the Brethren located at 3251 Rockhill Church Rd., Concord, NC 28027.
