Iva Glenna Brammer Caldwell

Iva Glenna Brammer Caldwell, 87, of Roanoke, passed away peacefully at home on November 29, 2024.

Mrs. Caldwell was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Clayton Caldwell, Jr.; parents, Frank and Ethel Laughlin; brothers Gordon and James (Booten) Laughlin; sisters, Pauline Kidd, Frances (Fannie) Johnson, and Mildred (Tillie) Witt; Brother-sin-law, Carlton Witt, Thomas Kidd Willie (Bill) Johnson; and sister-in-law, Joyce Laughlin.

She is survived by her sister, Gloria Key and her husband Gerald (Bo) Key; sister-in-law Sallie Laughlin; son, Stephen Brammer; daughter, Kathy Pinson and her husband Rick; grandchildren, Jessica and Jacob Brammer, Holly Maske and her husband Josh, Courtney West and her husband Josh, Courtney West and her husband Levi; four great-grandchildren, Alysa, Dylan, Charlotte and Tucker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Glenna was born and raised in Bedford, Va and graduated from Huddleston High School. She started as an apprentice at a barber shop in Bedford and eventually moved to Roanoke, where she continued to be a hairstylist for 60 years.

She made many close friends in her lifetime and loved spending time with them and her family. She formed a special bond with her care giver Susan Garnett.
